Job Summary:
The Dental Director is responsible for all aspects of dental care provided at Atchison Community Health Clinic. The Dental Director provides leadership for all dental clinical performance and peer review activities, assists with grant requests, is responsible for development and implementation of dental policies and procedures, dental performance improvement; and recommends capital expenditures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Represent the clinic to the community in a consistently positive and effective manner.
- Works in conjunction with Medical Director to provide leadership and management of clinical areas.
- Provide dental care meeting current dental standards of care.
- Assist Medical Director with the Performance Improvement Committee and the Peer Review function.
- Develops and implements (following Board approval) dental policies, procedures and systems to ensure quality patient care and outstanding customer relations.
- Recommend purchases, as necessary and provides input for annual budget preparation.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and county rules, regulations and statutes.
- Participates with grant writing by recognizing areas where funds are needed.
- Participates as needed with fundraising efforts.
- Assists in maintaining grant requirements as pertains to clinical areas.
