The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. This role creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds our customers' expectations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome all customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
- Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Utilize technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume; possess exceptional product knowledge and use appropriate tools.
- Be proactive, explore root causes of issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance and help to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Be resourceful and self-motivated with a desire for continual learning and improvement.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State Licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills - ability to use and carry an iPAD/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
- Embrace new technology and change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
