Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) practice. The successful candidate will work closely with our board-certified ENT physicians to provide high-quality care to patients of all ages. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing conditions such as sinusitis, hearing loss, sleep apnea, allergies, and other ENT-related disorders in both clinical and surgical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and physical exams, focusing on ENT-related concerns.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck, such as infections, allergies, hearing loss, tinnitus, voice disorders, sinus problems, and more.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including audiometry, CT scans, MRIs, and lab work, as needed for ENT conditions.
- Assist in the management and treatment of patients undergoing ENT procedures, including pre- and post-operative care.
- Prescribe medications and recommend non-pharmacological therapies, such as lifestyle modifications or referrals to specialists (e.g., audiologists, speech therapists).
- Perform minor ENT procedures, such as ear wax removal, nasal endoscopies, and management of epistaxis (nosebleeds).
- Educate patients and families on disease management, prevention strategies, and treatment options.
- Collaborate closely with ENT surgeons and other healthcare providers to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education activities to stay current with advancements in ENT care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Current and active state licensure as an NP or PA in Tennessee.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP, or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Experience in otolaryngology (ENT) is highly preferred, but candidates with relevant experience in primary care or internal medicine are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with a focus on ENT-related conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
