Job Description
Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire, WI offers a PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at a Regional Level 2 Trauma Center and designated Stroke Center designed to develop a proficient, independent practitioner capable of providing advanced pharmaceutical care in emergency medicine. The emergency department (ED) pharmacist is mainly responsible for Eau Claire’s 45 bed ED which accounts for over 42,000 patient visits annually. In addition, the ED pharmacist oversees four other Critical Access Hospital EDs across the Northwest Wisconsin region.
As a resident, you will obtain advanced training in all areas of emergency medicine, including critical care, toxicology and emergency preparedness/prehospital medicine. Adult and pediatric training experiences of nearly every type are available. Additional requirements include completion of a research and quality improvement project, staffing, medical emergency response, and formal presentations.

Job Requirements
- Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy, completion of an accredited PGY1 residency, eligible for Wisconsin pharmacist licensure.
- United States citizenship or permanent residency required.
