Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep - Sleep Medicine Advanced Practice Provider
Location: Buckhead
Piedmont Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep office in Buckhead. This is a full-time outpatient position focusing on sleep medicine patients with the occasional pulmonary patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functions as an independent provider in a busy outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine office with MDs available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.
- Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
- Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures including Home Sleep Tests, In-lab Polysomnography, Chest X-rays, Chest CTs, and Pulmonary Function testing. Explains the necessity, nature, and results of the scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient.
- Reviews recent PAP usage with the patient via compliance reports and troubleshoots any barriers to nightly PAP use.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
or
NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing
