As a Radiologic Technologist, you are responsible for getting clear imaging results, which requires proper use of the equipment and keeping patients calm and informed throughout the x-ray procedure. You must comply with the safety regulations involving the use of radiation to protect yourself, patients, and other staff members from over-exposure to radiation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Travel to various healthcare facilities in the area, operating company-owned vehicles
- Perform diagnostic and radiographic exams using portable x-ray equipment
- Review images to ensure quality
- Perform electrocardiograms using portable ECG equipment
- Gather and complete appropriate paperwork
- Adhere to policies and procedures for daily operations
- Monitor equipment performance and take the appropriate measures to resolve problems
- Review and ensure exams are high quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion
- Consistently demonstrate effective communication, both written and verbal, with all technologists, staff, and management teams
- Perform all duties as assigned or required to ensure efficiency and provide quality patient care
Skills / Requirements:
- Certificate or Associate’s degree from an accredited school of radiology
- State certification & ARRT license required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
