Description
The PA will provide high quality, patient care to all patients in collaboration with other staff members to ensure that all patient needs are met. To provide care based on physical, psycho/social, and educational needs appropriate to all ages of patients. The PA will practice medical services as directed by the Medical Director or approved supervising physicians as long as they are within the scope of practice set by the Louisiana state Board of Medical Examiners (for Physician Assistants). At all times the Physician Assistant will abide by the standards and laws governing the certifications that they hold. It is the responsibility of the Physician Assistant to keep all certifications and license current at all times.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences or graduate of an Approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- NCCPA Certified
- Current Louisiana State Licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Current BCLS and ACLS Certification
- Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
