Position Summary
The University of North Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a fellowship-trained academic subspecialist to join its Division of Complex Family Planning. This position will join 3 well-established, mid-career and senior faculty in furthering the mission of the division.
One of 10 divisions in the UNC OB-GYN department, the Complex Family Planning Division was established in 2013. It is comprised of three faculty and two fellows who provide complex family planning services at UNC Hospitals and the local Planned Parenthood affiliate. The UNC Fellowship in Complex Family Planning has been in existence, with continuously matched fellows, since 2009, and achieved accreditation by the ACGME in February 2021. A Ryan Resident Training Program has been in place since 2008, with abortion and contraception training preceding that for many years.
Current members of the CFP Division include funded educators in the UNC School of Medicine, highly funded researchers, and the OB-GYN Residency Program Director, who collaborate with research and clinical colleagues from across the 14 schools of UNC Chapel Hill. The UNC Division of Complex Family Planning has achievable opportunities to expand its clinical expertise and reach, with ever-increasing practice locations across the UNC Health System and the State of North Carolina.
