Responsible for administering basic and comprehensive diagnostic audiological tests that differentiate between types of hearing disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hearing aid testing, selection and fitting
- Counsels patients regarding test results and reviews options to best meet patient needs
- Responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Audiology required
- State of Idaho licensed Audiologist required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence required
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical and office job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
