Would you like to be a part of making history? Austin Pets Alive (APA!) is a leading animal rescue and welfare organization. Reimagining animal services from our headquarters in Austin, Texas, we help communities throughout the nation! As a grassroots, revolutionary nonprofit organization, APA! creates and sustains innovative programs that save the lives of tens of thousands of pets each year, while providing support to the humans who love them. We have also received public recognition for our professional expertise in areas such as philanthropy, marketing, shelter operations and more!
Not only have we celebrated 100,000 lives saved in 2022, we have built a sustainable model in Austin that has led the way for our city becoming the largest No Kill city in the country. After more than a decade of success, we are teaching other shelters and organizations how to follow our life saving formula.
APA!, and its sub-brands American Pets Alive! (AmPA!), Texas Pets Alive! (TPA!) and Human Animal Support Services (HASS), have grown tremendously over the years, and have influenced animal welfare legislation, established animal sheltering best practices and reimagined human animal support services across the nation.
Have you ever been in a position where you felt like you could have saved an animal but there were limitations that kept you from doing so? Or there was a chance a patient may have lived, but due to uncertainty of prognosis you were required to euthanize them?
