CFP (Adjunct): EdD and PhD Kinesiology Dissertation Advisors and Committee Members
Position Overview: Contracted Faculty of Practice are needed to serve as Dissertation Advisors and Committee Members for EdD and Ph.D. graduate students in our Doctoral Kinesiology programs at Concordia University, St. Paul. Content areas include, but are not limited to: Exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, health & wellness, leadership & administration, orthotics & prosthetics, physical education, physical therapy, and sport management.
Due to the nature of the KHS course offerings, ongoing applications are accepted for review. Candidates will be contacted for an interview when an appropriate opening becomes available. Specific training will be provided for CFPs by the Doctoral Director upon hire. This is a 2 to 3-year commitment with stipends totaling $2000 for Advisors and $1000 for each Committee Member.
Essential Duties:
Contracted Faculty of Practice responsibilities include mentoring students to meet student learning outcomes for their dissertation, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Effective Dissertation Advisors and Committee Members may have the opportunity to move into teaching online courses.
Education and Experience:
- Experience with online delivery of education and communication
- Must be organized, able to meet deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal skills
- Passion for mentoring and supporting future industry leaders
