This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers is building our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.
As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
This role will work with patients aged 12+ in our Mood & Anxiety Program, while also offering the opportunity to be cross-trained within our specialty programs and services: School Refusal, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use, Trauma, and OCD/Complex Anxiety. The Primary Clinical Therapist is ideal for someone who is eager to collaborate with an array of clinicians and patient populations, while broadening their clinical skillset through ample training and support.
What You’ll Do
- Complete intake evaluations as needed to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
- Create and update treatment plans
- Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
- Coordinate care with patients’ individual providers to ensure continuity of care
- Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
- Communicate with patients’ family members or support system on a weekly basis or as needed
- Communicate with patients’ school and participate in school re-entry meetings
- Chart in our electronic medical records system
- Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
- Participate in professional development activities
- Provide group and family therapy, as needed
- Other duties, as needed
Who You Are
- Licensed Doctorate Level Psychologist, Masters Level Clinician with clinical license, or a postgraduate degree in a healthcare field
- The ability to assist families and patients in talking about difficult topics is a necessity.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
