Issaquah Premier Dental – one of Issaquah’s top-rated dental offices – is hiring Dental Assistants (DA) for full-time & part-time permanent positions. The job duties include preparing treatment room, conducting initial patient screenings, preparing and sterilizing instruments and materials, assisting the dentist during procedures, performing duties in accordance to the dental practice act, and educating patients on oral health and preventative care.
Description
We are looking for the right person to join our growing team! We strive to provide an exceptional experience in all aspects of our office. The primary responsibility at this position is to assist and support our providers in treatment procedures and other duties pertaining to providing patients with excellent care. We are looking for someone who is searching for a long-term dental work home where they can grow with the business and have the potential for vertical career growth.
Responsibilities
- Preparing patient for treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating patients
- Preparing all instruments and materials needed for the appointment
- Sterilizing and maintaining equipment, instruments and operatories
- Keeping operatories clean and adequately stocked
- Ensuring patients feel as comfortable as possible before and during their visit
- Answering basic questions pertaining to treatment
- Provide basic oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Coronal polishing
- Taking CBCT Scans
- Using Cerec 3D Scanner and Milling Unit
- Assisting providers in nitrous oxide administration
- Communicating with suppliers for ordering supplies
- Being able to learn and adequately manipulate dental software (Oryx)
- Properly charting, documenting, and writing notes
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments as needed
- Performing other supportive office tasks
- Assisting providers in direct and indirect patient care in various dental procedures: restorative, pediatric, orthodontic (Invisalign), whitening, oral surgery, endodontics (4-handed dentistry)
- Taking impressions, intraoral and extraoral photos
- Laboratory work- pouring models, making whitening trays, etc.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred (willing to train with the right candidate)
- Valid and active RDA/CDA license (bonus to have)
- HIPAA/WISHA Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Patient, positive, and energetic attitude
- Friendly and personable
- Eager to learn and adapt to growing needs of the office
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Computer proficiency- must be computer savvy
- Fast learner- ability to learn to use office software (Oryx) and other programs
- Attention to detail is a must!
- Problem solving/critical thinking skills- must be independent and able to handle tasks and challenges
- Must be self-starter and motivated
- Strong work ethic with high standards and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to learn, willing to improve and get better
- Must be a team player- willingness to be a part of a team
- Highly organized
- Follow instructions and respect dental office regulations
