Academic Dermatopathologist - Buffalo, NY (RPCI)
The Cancer Center announces a unique opportunity in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine that combines the intellectual stimulation of academic practice with business development opportunities and an overall compensation package comparable to traditional dermatopathology practices. We seek to recruit an academic Dermatopathologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to support expanding clinical dermatology and research programs at the Institute.
The successful candidate will join another full-time Dermatopathologist to provide subspecialty diagnostic services, education to fellows, residents, and medical students, and to develop a national reputation in research. A robust translational research support facility and integrated Clinical Data Network are available to support your research interests. The clinical and scientific staffs at Roswell Park are outstanding, enthusiastic, collegial, and cooperative. The Dermatopathology service sees a variety of neoplastic and non-neoplastic specimens from the Institute’s dermatology, medical oncology, and surgical oncology departments, as well as consultation and outreach cases from other regional hospitals, laboratories, and private clinics.
The successful candidate will sign out Dermatopathology cases and support both the multidisciplinary tumor boards and translational research activities in this area. Candidates with a secondary interest in a subspecialty field of surgical pathology will also be considered. Candidates must be Dermatopathology board certified or eligible and will be required to obtain a New York State Medical license and Certificate of Qualification.
