Responsibilities
- Carries a caseload of clients or families and/or facilitates therapy groups, dependent upon the needs of the program.
- Provide training, support, and supervision to clinicians and milieu staff as needed.
- Act as Interim Clinical Director in the absence of the Clinical Director.
- Assist with admissions by conducting face-to-face clinical assessments, risk assessments, and developing initial safety plans.
- May assign caseloads or facilitate treatment team and/or clinical group supervision as needed.
- Conduct peer reviews as required by the Utilization Review department.
- Conduct weekly audits of medical records to ensure quality and timely submission of clinical documentation and coordination of treatment planning.
- Intervene and assist as needed with clients and/or families in crisis prevention and intervention.
- Participate in on-call rotation as a back-up for on-call clinicians for clinical emergencies and consultation.
- Coordinate treatment including discharge planning with the treatment team.
- Attend and participate in meetings as an interdisciplinary team member.
- Assist with implementation of policies and procedures and monitor program to ensure compliance with state licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Facilitate development of systems to ensure effective and efficient inter-departmental communication.
- Review staff communication and shift report for treatment implications and intervene as needed.
- Conduct facility tours and represent Newport Healthcare at company-sponsored or community events.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required from an accredited or state approved graduate school. Doctorate degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of application.
- Minimum three years' experience working with adolescents and families.
- Training or experience in trauma-informed treatment preferred.
- Willingness to be trained in Attachment Based Family Therapy required.
Salary Range: $78,853 - $111,636 annually based on education and experience.
