Psychologist (Ph.D.) School-Based Clinical Services – Connecticut
Large Multispecialty Group Practice that provides comprehensive solutions that address complex health issues, providing individuals, families, and communities with accessible, innovative care that encourages health, recovery, and growth at all stages of life throughout Connecticut is looking for experienced Psychologists to join their talented staff. There are opportunities in school-based services as well as intermediate services.
The psychologist works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to meet the social and emotional needs of clients (students) ages 5-21, by providing assessment, counseling services as outlined in a student's Individual Educational Plan (IEP), psycho-educational groups, consultation, and crisis intervention to the students enrolled in education programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development of the client's (student's) Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and providing discipline-related mandated services in compliance with the IEP.
- Conducting initial evaluations, performing mental status exams, accurately diagnosing, and developing and presenting clear clinical formulations that are specific, attainable, behaviorally oriented treatment plans, and identifying and providing therapeutic interventions appropriate to specified problems.
- Conducting psychological assessments, completing comprehensive integrated reports including education-related recommendations, and effectively reporting results in writing and verbally to parents, classroom staff, and Pupil Placement Team meeting (PPT) participants, as well as in other venues.
Choice of location includes several areas of Connecticut.
