Nurse Manager for a BRAND NEW
Surgical Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit ICU.

This position will work collaboratively with the entire Critical Care leadership team and report to the Director of Critical Care.
Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU Nurse Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee a Brand New 30-bed Unit specializing in caring for trauma and surgical patient population in a "care-in-place" model
- Create a culture that supports mentoring and shared decision-making.
- Establish and maintain an engaged work culture in which front-line employees share in decisions and take ownership of results.
- Establish targets and processes to monitor programmatic growth, clinical equality, and effective operations within the designated unit.
- With the assistance of assigned financial staff, review periodic financial statements and reports and make changes in resource allocation, spending, and other relevant business activities to ensure financial viability and budget compliance.
- Understand and use performance management tools for staff and work groups effectively and continually.
- Teaches the discipline of continuous improvement through example and in all opportunities practices it.
- Provide timely and thorough performance reviews.

RN Manager Requirements:
- Masters degree in Nursing is preferred, BSN is required. Non-BSN candidates with an MSN will be considered
- Two (2) years of progressive leadership experience in Critical Care preferred
- Three (3) years of clinical / bedside nursing experience in a critical care environment required, preferably with Surgical, Neuro, and Trauma patients
