UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehab.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Per Diem, 0% FTE (approximately 2 shifts per week)
Day Shift
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program has operated for over 20 years. Our program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and is staffed by a medically-trained, multidisciplinary team of nurses, exercise physiologists and dietitians, with oversight by a board-certified cardiologist. The Exercise Physiologist will play a key role providing case management, educating patients on cardiovascular health, and supporting patients in exercises designed to improve flexibility, body composition and cardiovascular functions.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate complex cardiac diagnostic equipment, including Holter monitor scanners, ambulatory recorders, stress testing equipment, and ECG machines
Monitor and troubleshoot equipment
Review patient's clinical record to obtain necessary information for performing, conducting and reporting all ECG lab diagnostic procedures
Monitor patient's hemodynamic responses to exercise
Demonstrate and teach patients the correct use of equipment
Provide physician or nurse practitioner with the essential information needed for patient care
Perform initial hook up of testing equipment
Follow protocol in performance of treadmill testing
Obtain vitals on patient during recovery phase
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology
At least 1 year experience in stress testing or exercise physiology
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification required within 3 months of hire
Cardiac Rhythm recognition experience
Arrhythmia recognition experience
