Our client is a 700+ bed healthcare facility known for being the region's only Level II trauma center and home to the only children's hospital in the western portion of the state. The hospital offers various services, including women's services, sports medicine, and neurological care. Its cardiovascular services include the only open heart and interventional cardiology in the region. The quality of the facility's services has earned recognition, such as being named among the nation's best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics, and Healthgrades.
Our client is a Level 2 Trauma Center and the ONLY trauma center for 19 counties in Western North Carolina.
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist monitors, circulates, and scrubs under the direction of an Electrophysiologist and/or physician's assistant. Assists in activities ensuring the appropriate functioning of the Electrophysiology labs and reinforces patient and family teaching.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Associate's degree in Science or comparable work experience. Radiology or Respiratory Therapy preferred.
Required License:
Preferred License:
- Heart Rhythm Certification in Electrophysiology and/or Cardiac Rhythm Devices, RPT, RT, or RRT.
Required Experience:
- Two years’ experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated experience in hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring. Experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath and/or EP Lab preferred.
