Requirements
- 2-3 yrs. of Rheumatology medical office experience
- Athena EMR preferred, not required

Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a friendly demeanor
- Assist with check-in procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate with medical staff to schedule appointments and efficiently manage changes or cancellations
- Maintain and organize the electronic appointment system
- Adhere to privacy regulations such as HIPAA
- Actively participate in team meetings, share insight and provide support to colleagues when needed
Required skills and qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health records and systems (EHR/EMR)
- Familiar with scheduling software, billing systems, and basic data entry skills
- The ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- 6 months-1 year related experience
- Experience working with Athena software
- Bilingual
