To our prospective teammates,
I’m the Regional Medical Director for our intensivist program at Manchester Memorial Hospital, located in historic Manchester, Connecticut. I’ve been a part of Sound Critical Care since 2004, when I joined as a staff intensivist. I’m proud of the critical care team we are building in Manchester and welcome interest from experienced critical care advanced practice providers (APPs).
I’d like to share more about who we are and what we do — specifically about our people, practice, and purpose — as you consider your options:
People
- Our team at Manchester Memorial is a growing team of 3 intensivists and 4 critical care APPs.
- Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds with a shared dedication to the practice of critical care medicine.
- Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care. We encourage our team members to be active participants in committees and to become part of the larger hospital team.
Practice
- Manchester Memorial Hospital is a 249-bed community hospital and part of the larger Eastern Connecticut Health Network. A longstanding part of the community, Manchester Memorial provides the community with compassionate and comprehensive care, close to home.
- Our ICU cares for medical and surgical patients with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists.
- We currently staff with one intensivist and one critical care APP during the day, with an APP in-house at night with support from our tele-Intensivists.
- Our critical care APPs are competent in ICU procedures and provide care at the highest level and practice autonomously within our program.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k, paid medical malpractice with tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
Purpose
- We put patients first. Always.
- We value and support growth and development in our critical care medicine practice, allowing you to explore new opportunities locally and within the broader medical group.
- We’re a community-minded team and support involvement and contributions to community health and wellness in and out of the hospital.
If you’d like to learn more about this opportunity, please reach out to my recruiting partner, who will put you in contact with me.
