About the Team
The Workplace Experience Team at College Board is a team of dedicated individuals with a passion for top-notch internal customer service and support. The team works full-time on-site from our offices: New York, Puerto Rico, and Reston, Virginia. Our main purpose is to ensure our facilities are safe, well-equipped, and a place where people can connect, engage with each other, and get things done. We partner with divisions to ensure all staff make the most of their time together – onsite and remote.
About the Opportunity
As our Director of Workplace Experience (WX), you lead the Reston office operations, maintenance, and building/administrative policies, shaping the onsite experience so employees can make the most of their time together. You are trusted to get things done – from the equipment maintenance to the planning of our holiday party. You set the example for the culture of the Reston office, leaning into our competencies and operating principles. You collaborate with leaders across the organization to support organizational priorities and strategies. You ensure our Reston Office is safe, well-maintained, and as effective as possible in a hybrid world. You will also project manage large scale projects on an as-needed basis.
In this role, you will:
Build a positive office culture through strong operations and customer service (80%)
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of College Board’s Reston Office to build a safe, positive, and engaging working environment for all.
- Own the relationship with property managers, building engineers, and facility vendors to support overall building functions.
- Develop and/or build upon onsite policies and procedures to include emergency evacuations, physical security and access control, and general building and equipment maintenance, and responsible for compliance with these policies and procedures.
- Innovate office operations policies to include meeting support, space management, standards of cleanliness and organization, and general administrative policies, and maintain these policies following implementation.
- Maintain onsite equipment and systems, troubleshooting issues.
- Work with vendors to ensure proper function of the space and its equipment.
- Provide general office operations support as needed.
- Lead the planning and execution of all-office functions and engagement-related events.

Project Management (20%)
- Manage large-scale moves and office projects as needed. Act as the onsite point of contact for vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Lead or assist with special projects with efficiency and an end-user mindset.
About You
You have:
- A passion for customer service and leading engagement and culture.
- Extremely strong organization and prioritization skills and the proven ability to lead multiple projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team.
- Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% of time to support other CB facilities, as needed.

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $87,000 to $116,000.
Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on this criteria.
