The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California is recruiting a part-time board certified/board eligible Radiation Oncologists at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidates will receive academic appointment at a level appropriate to training and experience from the Keck School of Medicine. This position will support clinical effort and cover all satellite clinics in the Los Angeles and Orange County Areas.
The Department is affiliated with the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The program is an affiliate member of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and also participates in trials sponsored by the South West Oncology Group, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project Group, and the Gynecology Oncology Group. The Department is looking to recruit a candidate highly interested in pursuing an academic career in radiation oncology. This faculty position will be on the practitioner track and directly involved in clinical research, teaching, and covering all clinic satellites (5 satellites and growing).
There is an ACGME accredited residency training program based at LAC+USC medical center. The Department at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art Varian Truebeam STx, a new Varian Truebeam, a Trilogy machine, and HDR Brachytherapy afterloader. The Keck Hospital houses the Gammaknife Perfexion, as well as programs in episcleral plaque brachytherapy.
Preferred Education: Graduate of a United States ACGME accredited 4-yr residency program in Radiation Oncology.
