Position: Manager, Virtual Care
The Manager, Virtual Care will oversee and help expand the virtual care program. They will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of virtual care services, ensuring high-quality virtual care delivery, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing patient and provider satisfaction. This role will have direct supervision of nursing staff performing virtual care services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current license to practice Registered Professional Nursing in West Virginia or applicable state where services will be provided.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Four (4) years nursing experience with at least two years management experience.
- Experience in a virtual care environment.
- Experience with change management and process improvement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Specialty certification desirable.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

- Leads in the development and implementation of a system wide acute virtual care strategy.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to integrate virtual care into existing service lines and new programs.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of virtual care services, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for virtual care services.
- Participates and provides leadership on committees relating to all virtual care initiatives.
- Manage the virtual care team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Work with IT and other departments to select, implement, and maintain virtual care platforms and technology.
- Monitor technological advancements and recommend upgrades or new solutions as needed.
- Address patient and provider feedback to continuously improve virtual care services.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships.
- Promote virtual care services to patients and providers, enhancing utilization and satisfaction.
- Develop educational materials and resources for patients to improve access and understanding of virtual care interactions.
- Monitors on a continual basis all personnel and current expense budgets, providing information and/or justification of variances to department leadership.
- Makes recommendations for preparation of the budget for his/her cost center annually to assure cost effective operations.
- Serves as a resource to appropriate QI teams.
- Maintains effective communication with Medical Staff, patients, staff, and other departments as necessary to assure identification of problems and provide problem resolution in support of the hospital's mission of quality patient care delivery.
- Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in accordance with Standards of Practice and Standards of Care.
- Participates in outreach activities in the community, i.e. Speaker's Bureau, to educate and/or promote good relationships.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Must be flexible.
- Proficiency in Information Technology, such as electronic health records, communication systems, computers, and equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the position.
- Skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
- Ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that convey a positive and supportive attitude.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations.
- Change management knowledge and expert ability to take feedback and process improvement knowledge to facilitate the change process.
