Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking a per-diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery team at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA. This role offers a flexible schedule, with approximately 5 shifts per month, providing critical support to trauma and acute care surgeons.
Position Highlights:
- Work in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment, supporting trauma and acute care surgeons.
- Deliver care to patients within the trauma/acute care unit and manage non-emergent referrals from the emergency department.
- Enjoy a predictable schedule with 10-hour day shifts.
Requirements:
- Active CA State License required.
- New graduates are welcome with a background or previous nursing experience in critical care surgery.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and build strong rapport with patients.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Prior experience in Surgical Critical Care is a plus, but not required.
