Requirements:
- Active Iowa license
- Must hold MD or DO degrees and have completed a psychiatry residency
- Minimum 3 years experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct professional routine and emergency examinations on patients.
- Provide in-patient psychiatric treatment to patients.
- Make recommendations for the treatment of behavioral or psychiatric disorders.
- Make electronic entries in patient medical records.
- Comply with all applicable Federal Regulations, as well as Department and Facility Policies and Procedures.
- Provide assistance to the physician(s) with both routine and emergency procedures.
- Document treatment provided and tests administered in appropriate formats on required forms on each visit to the facility.
- Ensure availability to staff by telephone, voice mail, e-mail, pager and intra-facility mail, as necessary.
