Job Responsibilities:
This management position will be responsible for overseeing the treatment services offered within Cynthia Day Family Center (CDFC) and Keystone Hall. This person will be working collaboratively with the residential program manager, under the supervision of the Substance Use Services Director to ensure that high quality treatment services are being offered to clients. This position will be responsible for maintaining licensing standards, including but not limited to those regarding clinical service delivery and documentation. An ideal candidate would have experience directing trauma informed residential programs and have experience with grant management/oversight. Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have proven decision-making skills as well being able to think critically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the total operation of the clinical programs including scheduling of case managers and clinical group schedule.
- Responsible for interfacing with other departments as they pertain to the functions of clinical services offered.
- Ensures that a safe, clean, comfortable, and therapeutic trauma-informed environment is maintained for residents.
- Initiate, implement and monitor compliance with evidence-based practices.
- Ensures that all clinical documentation is on time and accurate.
- Ensures that staff work within their scope of practice and are provided supervision.
- Supervises and evaluates staff according to agency policies and procedures.
- Updates and develops clinical job descriptions as needed.
- Assists in the development of clinical programming.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to identify recruitment needs and to establish position requirements per regulations.
- Assists in developing plans of correction regarding licensure, certification, and other approval provisions.
- Maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards.
- Work with Leadership Team to ensure there is successful communication and coordination between all departments.
- Works collaboratively with Medical Services to provide holistic care.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure all staff maintain required training.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to develop corrective action plans for under-performing staff.
- Models effective communication that is reflective of Harbor Care’s Red-Carpet Treatment for residents and staff.
- Conducts regular staff meetings and in-services.
- Provides counseling to clients, children and families as needed in order to supplement the current treatment being offered.
- Provides clinical supervision to case managers and child care coordinator, including completing performance evaluations and creating and overseeing performance improvement plans and progressive discipline processes.
- Perform related work as requested.
- On-call clinical rotation and emergency notifications/supporting other on-call staff.
- All other duties as assigned by Behavioral Healthcare Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in clinical mental health or related field and current NH license as a MLADC/LCMHC/LCISW.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities with evidence of appropriate planning and time management.
- Ability to supervise CRSW’s preferred.
- Experience in management of staff and in directing clinical residential programs.
- Experience with trauma informed systems of care.
- Experience with clinically diverse client populations such as cultural and/or religious minorities, co-occurring disorders, and indigent and socio-economically disadvantaged clients.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively and timely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of area resources.
- Knowledge of NH State Regulations, fire codes and CARF standards.
- Significant experience with Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care, Medication Assisted Treatment, Mutual help groups, and 12 Step programs.
- Knowledge of the 12-core functions.

- Computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and experience with electronic medical records.
- Ability to be flexible and creative.
- Effective trauma informed communication skills.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and/or make fine discrimination in sound.
- Ability to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Primary functions involve sitting and doing walk-throughs of both programs. Standing is required occasionally.
- Visual acuity sufficient for work which deals with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcriptions, computer terminal operations and extensive reading.
- Ability to perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures, and to make decisions.
- Ability to endure periods of heavy workload or excessive stress over a reasonable length of time.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday day shift, need some flexibility to support program needs outside of normal business hours.
