Job Summary:
Describes anatomy/steps for surgeries; uses sterile technique; assists surgical team with procedure; collaborates with other members of OR team; transports patients; demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care; facilitates open communication with all team members; initiates and supports the teaching mentoring process; maintains a safe work environment; resolves problems on a one-to-one basis; takes an active role in professional development. Participates in development/implementation of educational programs for surgical technologist program; demonstrates the ability to perform surgical technology skills for all general and specialty based cases preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eligible for certification by Association of Surgical Technologists through the completion of a formal certificate or degree program in Surgical Technology or by meeting the Association of Surgical Technologists experience requirements, plus one year experience as a Surgical Technologist or comparable position in an acute care setting required.
Work Days:
Full-time (40 hours a week) and part-time opportunities available on varying shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Weekends and holiday rotation as required by bargaining agreements.
