Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as Dental Assistant and healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
Gurnick Academy offers the Associate of Occupational Science in Ultrasound Technology. We are currently seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Professional for our Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator, Full-Time for our Sacramento, CA Campus. This is an on-campus position for our Sacramento Campus.
Basic Function
The primary function of the Clinical Coordinator (CC) is to manage daily clinical internships of the Ultrasound students at their affiliated clinical site. CCs manage and oversee students' preparation for internship and placement at clinical rotations. CCs must learn to use Trajecsys for monitoring of sites, attendance, competencies, and communication with clinical instructors. CCs must learn sonographer responsibilities, site expectations, and protocols of each internship affiliate. The CC is the liaison between the lab classroom and the clinical sites to ensure that UT students are learning all protocol expectations of various clinical sites. CC will work with the UT Program Coordinator and UT Executive Program Director with updates as to new protocols from clinical sites.
Clinical site acquisition assistance and/or participation and maintenance is a key responsibility for this role. CC student management includes student satisfactory internship progress maintenance, attendance, competency schedule, and academic probation documentation. All documentation will be accounted for in student files, Trajecsys, and intranet. CC will monitor lab class and can assist with didactic classroom delivery under the Program Director's guidance.
Requirements
- AS Degree, BS Degree preferred
- ARDMS, Cardiac & RVT, Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
- Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
- 1-3 Years Experience as an instructor preferred

Salary Pay Range: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
