Your Role:
The Clinical Educator contributes to education and professional development needs as part of a Regional Education Team. This position provides a variety of education and learning experiences including onboarding nursing team members, New Nurse Residency Program, hi-fidelity simulation learning experiences, CNA and MA entry level training, and more. The ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team working with department-based/unit-based educators and others to fulfill the strategic goals of the region.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current State of Maine RN license is required.
- Experience: Minimum of five years' acute care experience is required.
- Demonstrated high knowledge level in nursing process and adult learning principles
- Demonstrated high knowledge of critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated high knowledge of Federal, State and all other regulatory agencies regarding education and practice standards for healthcare
- Ability to collaborate with all healthcare disciplines
- Articulates elements of professional practice and demonstrates:
- Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice and Patient and Family Centered Care
- Understanding of teamwork and collaboration
- Effective verbal/written communication skills
- Knowledge of process improvement and sound safety strategies
- Competence with computer applications
