Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our busy and dynamic family medicine practice. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Utah and experienced in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. While primarily focused on family medicine, experience in OB/GYN is a plus, as the candidate will occasionally provide women's health services, including prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and routine gynecological exams. This role is ideal for an NP or PA who thrives in a team environment, enjoys providing comprehensive family care, and is looking for part-time hours in a busy, well-established practice.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide primary care services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care across the lifespan.
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care and treatment plans.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice’s electronic medical record system.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- If experienced in OB/GYN: perform women's health services including routine exams, prenatal care, and family planning consultations.
- Participate in the practice’s efforts to promote wellness and preventive care.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- License: Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Utah.
- Certification: National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in family medicine or primary care setting. OB/GYN experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing common family medicine conditions, excellent communication and patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
