Essential Functions of Position

The instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching a part-time schedule of Radiologic Technology courses as assigned;
- Using a variety of pedagogies and integrating a wide range of instructional delivery systems including innovative and creative uses of technology for face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats;
- Communicating effectively with students, faculty, and staff;
- Using effective teaching methods appropriate to the subject matter;
- Evaluating student progress through tests, examinations, and written assignments;
- Providing course syllabi to students;
- Maintaining classroom records in accordance with District Policy;
- Turning in all required student grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner;
- Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times;
- Fulfilling all duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122;
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related professional experience; or
- Associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience; or
- A valid California Community College Credential.
The CAHIIM requires that faculty must be qualified through professional preparation and experience:
- Valid credential and current state license;
- Minimum of two years clinical experience in Radiologic Technology;
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or equivalent in radiology.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience incorporating elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion;
- Recent experience working with racially minoritized students;
- Willingness to examine and remediate instructional practices;
- Experience with students of various cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic backgrounds;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
