POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician for our Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide a full range of primary health care services to include, but not limited to, diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses to ensure our nation’s veterans receive exceptional medical care with the highest standards of compassion, respect, and clinical excellence. This is an in-office, in-person position, not remote.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is an in-office position
- Chronic disease management as well as episodic care as needed by veteran
- Comprehensive physical examinations
- Orders diagnostic tests
- Prescribes medication
- Orders treatment and consults based on diagnosis or symptoms as needed
- Works with extended team members to provide patient-centric care (such as Pharm D, Mental Health providers, Dieticians, RN, LVN, MA etc.)
- Timely and complete documentation of notes in VA EMR (CPRS) utilizing dragon and/or keyboard
- Adheres to all VA guidelines regarding appropriate and timely response to patient requests, system alerts/notifications, consults, orders, lab results, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO)
- Board-certified or Board Eligible in family practice or internal medicine
- 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
- Active, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually)
- Excellent computer skills
