Mississippi State University-Meridian (MSU-M) is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinic Director at our soon-to-be-launched Mental and Behavioral Health Clinic in Meridian, Mississippi. This new clinic will provide critical mental health services to the Meridian community while serving as a training ground for MSU students. The clinic will accept insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, ensuring access to comprehensive care for all.
Position Overview: The Clinic Director will lead mental and behavioral health services at MSU-Meridian and report directly to the Head of the Division of Education. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinic’s operations and future success. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing services, including individual/group therapy, prevention programs, and crisis management.
- Recruiting and supervising clinical and support staff in collaboration with the Division Head.
- Promoting interprofessional collaboration with MSU-M faculty and staff.
- Seeking additional funding and external support for clinic operations.
- Providing direct clinical services and engaging in teaching opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology (or related field).
- Mississippi psychologist licensure (or ability to obtain within three months) and passage of the EPPP.
- At least three years of leadership experience in a mental health setting.
- Strong commitment to working with diverse populations.
