Job Summary:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro ICU and be part of a dynamic environment focused on high-acuity patients, including non-trauma neurosurgical cases, strokes, specialized spine surgeries, neurovascular surgeries, and seizures. Our 15-bed unit operates as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke facility and offers patient ratios of 1:2. The unit features a strong support system with onsite nurse practitioners, stroke coordinators, and educators. The leadership team emphasizes a hands-on approach, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity for continuous learning and growth.
What You Will Do:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro ICU patients, utilizing your specialized skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with an inter-professional team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through access to more than 4,000 hours of online continuing education.
- Participate in unit-based practice councils to contribute to improvements in patient outcomes.
Registered Nurse Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- Active RN license with Neuro ICU experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire.
