Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment. The incumbent assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.
Specifications: Qualified candidates will have two years of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, or four years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer. RDMS preferred. Must be registry eligible per the criteria set forth by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and must take and pass the OB/GYN and Physics portion of the ARDMS within 15 months of date of hire. Candidates must be proficient in the English language.
