We are looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join our inpatient psychiatric unit with one of the best health care systems in the Northeast. Come and join a wonderful team in a beautiful location near the coast line of Connecticut.
The role:
- The Adult Psychiatrist practices in an inpatient setting. The psychiatrist works on a team of providers including another psychiatrist and psychiatric APRN, providing care for individuals requiring behavioral health or substance use services, and also providing psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to other services, and to the ER, if needed.
- After hours weekday call is shared with 4 other psychiatrists and is paid for separately. Weekend call is optional and paid for separately.
- An opportunity to provide supervision to selected medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals.
- The psychiatrist can participate in Medical Staff Committees and attend meetings in Medical Staff regulations.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Medical degree.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Can obtain CT state license if you are relocating from outside the state.
