Full Time – 40 hours
The Maine Medical Partner's and Southern Maine Health Care Hospitalist teams are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to care for patients in the hospitals at Southern Maine Health Care, Biddeford, Maine. PAs are responsible for admissions, daily rounding, acute visits, and discharges of patients as well as ordering and interpreting laboratory data. The PA will work collaboratively with physicians from within Hospital Medicine and other consulting services. A great team-based atmosphere with a strong hospital community provides an excellent supportive environment for PAs to grow and achieve independence. This position is full time at SMHC, and some night/weekend expectations are required. New Grads welcome to apply.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
- Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively triage, organize, and prioritize
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Current ACLS/BCLS required
