We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner 2-3 days per week to provide comprehensive care to our pediatric patients. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing education and counseling to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for working with children, and the ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.
Location: Simsbury, CT
Salary: $60.00 to $70.00 hourly
Hours: 2 or 3 days per week Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical exams on pediatric patients, including well-child exams and sick visits
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including infections, asthma, allergies, and diabetes
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on a variety of topics, including nutrition, growth and development, and disease management
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in pediatric care
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialization
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
