Required Education and Experience: Master’s degree from an accredited university in the area of Speech-Language Pathology. Two years of clinical experience, with one in an outpatient setting preferred. Advanced clinical experience in dysphagia diagnosis and treatment.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification. Current Florida licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Summary/Objective: Interpret pacing rhythms. Applies and removes monitors on patients. Reprograms devices and provides patient/family education.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate patients to obtain data necessary for treatment.
- Provide speech treatment to patients per the Plan of Care and in accordance with the physician's prescription.
- Maintain required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Watson Clinic requirements.
- Maintain an appropriate daily schedule to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
- Participate in educational and professional activities that enhance self, co-workers, and patient care.
