Position Overview:
Bon Secours Ear Nose Throat & Allergy of St. Mary's is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our busy Otolaryngology practice in Richmond, VA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive medical services in a high demand setting, with immediate patient volume and significant growth potential due to existing practice demands.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a call rotation of 1:4.
- Patient Volume: Manage an average of 15 patients per day, with a patient demographic comprising 20% pediatric and 80% adult cases.
- Growth Potential: Join a practice experiencing high patient demand, with immediate engagement and the opportunity to expand services and coverage, including support for Colonial Heights and Emporia locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive examinations of patients presenting with a range of ENT-related issues, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the ears, nose, throat, and related structures.
- Supportive Role: Assist the ENT specialist in performing various surgical procedures, including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, sinus surgeries, septoplasties, rhinoplasties, laryngoscopies, otoplasties, and middle ear surgeries.
- Medical Management: Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments, ensuring effective patient care.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with audiologists, speech therapists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and multidisciplinary care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on ENT conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote better health outcomes.
- Service Expansion: Support the growth and expansion of our practice by increasing access and coverage and assisting in the management of excess patient volume.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a valid license to practice in Virginia.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience in an ENT or similar clinical setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive ENT assessments and provide effective medical and surgical support.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle both routine and complex ENT cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the evolving needs of a growing practice.
- Experience in assisting with ENT procedures and surgeries is a significant advantage.
