This is a combined posting for Associate Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician, and Senior Pharmacy Technician. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Acute Care Pharmacy Technician Roles
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt, accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs similar duties as the Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I with additional responsibilities.
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs similar duties as the Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I and II but possesses advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.
Associate Pharmacy Technician
Shift Details: Full-Time, Variable Shift, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy
- Work experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
Associate Pharmacy Technician Salary Range, Walla Walla, WA - Min: $18.46, Max: $28.19
Pharmacy Technician
Shift Details: Full-Time, Variable Shift, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Washington Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Pharmacy Tech program approved by the WA State Board of Pharmacy.
- Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) preferred where applicable by role and state
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
