RN Surgical Nurse

Our client is a private, nonprofit acute care community hospital serving twenty-two communities in a two-county area in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Located on 30 acres in a quiet, easily accessible part of the city, it blends medical expertise and technology with a genuine concern for people. In addition to a population base of over 27,000 residents, the hospital provides care to the many area visitors, summer vacationers, skiers, and other sportsmen.
They have engaged us to find them a RN to staff their busy Surgical Services unit.
The Registered Nurse I utilizes the nursing process with supervision/assistance to deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes. Communicates need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image of nursing.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Graduate of a nursing program: diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate program.
Experience: None
Minimum License and Certificates Required:
- Valid and Current Vermont License or eligible - Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Permit for the state of Vermont.
Reporting Relationships:
- Supervised By - Manager of the assigned area
- Supervision Of - N/A
Equipment Utilized:
- Electronic Medical Record, PC, Common Office Equipment, Patient equipment appropriate to area/unit
Call Requirement: 5-6 calls per month including a full weekend (Friday-Monday) and response time is 30 minutes with on-call housing provided.
