Job Description
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Cardiology Technician L2 in the Cardiology unit. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Cardiology Services, is responsible and accountable for coordination of specific procedures within Cardiac Services at all CHHD sites including Harvey, Calumet City, Flossmoor and Tinley Park. Perform stress test with and without thallium, stress echo, regular stress test, Holter application and scanning, event monitor application, EKG tracings as well as related clerical duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to provide services for the patients according to the unit specific competencies as appropriate to the age of the patients served as delineated in the Scope of Care.
- Knows, follows, and actively supports the philosophy, mission and vision of Ingalls Hospital.
- Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures and standards of care.
- Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan.
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school with certificate in cardiology technology.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Able to scan Holters, EKG skills with the ability to familiarize with EKG abnormalities, perform stress testing, event monitors.
- Two years of experience.
