About Us: Our goal is straightforward: to diminish breast cancer mortality in the metro Washington, DC area by facilitating access to breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, and treatment referrals for all women, irrespective of their financial means. Situated in Ward 8, we cater to a patient demographic that has traditionally encountered obstacles in accessing healthcare due to geographical distance from providers and limited transportation options.
Your Role: As a Mammography Technologist with us, you will occupy a pivotal position in our mission. Working under general supervision and in collaboration with the Radiologist, you will conduct mammography procedures, ranging from routine to complex. Your duties will encompass:
- Adhering to established procedures, protocols, and equipment to furnish data essential for clinical diagnosis.
- Ensuring accurate portrayal of breast anatomical structures for radiological interpretation.
- Operating fixed and portable radiographic equipment for procedure execution.
- Loading cassettes and processing images for final assessment.
- Maintaining equipment at peak operational efficiency.
Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must satisfy the following prerequisites:
- Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent, typically attained through a two-year college or technical school curriculum.
- Possession of a Radiography license issued by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
- Current ARRT certification in Mammography with valid registration.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- A minimum of 3-6 months of experience in conducting mammography procedures is mandatory.
