Position Overview
At the Advanced Psychology Institute, you'll become part of a multi-disciplinary team that takes a holistic, complex approach to mental health. Each client is assigned to work with a team of our member providers and affiliates with a variety of specializations. Depending on the client's specific needs, the team provides a combination of treatments including counseling, psychotherapy, psychosomatic treatment, nutritional guidance, health coaching, and medication treatment.
We are seeking a passionate and qualified psychotherapist who is committed to helping clients navigate relationship dynamics, improve communication, and address challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and emotional regulation. You will conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions remotely, with the option for in-person sessions at our Fort Lee, NJ office or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide video therapy sessions to individuals, couples, and families.
- Conduct thorough client intakes, assessments, and diagnostics.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed session notes and other necessary documentation.
- Involve additional specialists when necessary.
- Participate actively in ongoing training, peer supervision, and professional development.
Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent with an active license to practice therapy in the United States.
- Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Openness to train in and incorporate our clinic's core theoretical models and therapeutic techniques.
- Availability to start as a part-time contractor with a gradual increase in clients.
