Shift: Must have Pediatric InPatient Hospital Experience. 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 x 12h shifts, Every Other Weekend.
Description:
- Providing patient care, based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the guests/patients served in assigned service.
- Working as Scrub technician in the Maternity OR for OB cases.
- Providing for effective and safe guest/patients outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions.
- Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient’s status and rendered care.
- Taking self-directed or self-motivated initiative to do more than is expected or required in the job, acting before being required to by events, improving job performance, and/or creating new opportunities.
- Participating in interdisciplinary collaboration of our patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
- Participating in Unit/Department Performance Improvement (PI) activities.
Schedule Notes: Must have Pediatric InPatient Hospital Experience. 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 x 12h shifts, Every Other Weekend Required. One Summer and One Winter Holiday Required (if the agency RNs contract covers a holiday period). No On-Call Requirement. Float Requirement: All Pediatric team members, agency included could float within our floating areas (Pediatrics, PICU, NICU, Pedi ED only to care for admitted Pediatrics holding in the Pedi ED).
Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years Experience in the Pediatrics Unit, will float to like units in the facility.
- Must have Pediatric InPatient Hospital Experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Required Education:
- ASN.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing – Required.
Preferred Education:
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- BLS – AHA.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- PALS.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
