Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospice Director to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Duties:
- Develop and implement care plans in accordance with patient needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards. Implement quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of care.
- Utilize anatomy knowledge to assess resident conditions and provide appropriate care.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospice program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other support staff.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Uphold resident rights and promote a safe and respectful environment.
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations and billing systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospice or home health care, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hospice care regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Understanding of anatomy and medical terminology for accurate assessment.
- Ability to oversee shift management and ensure smooth operations.
- Familiarity with Medicare guidelines for billing purposes.
