+ Department: Speech Therapy
+ Schedule: PRN. Monday – Friday hours of operation 8 am – 4:30 pm. One weekend a month required. Saturdays 7:30 am -4 pm, Sundays ON CALL 8 am – 4 pm. Rotating Holidays, generally a minimum of one holiday a year, on call status 8 am – 4 pm.
+ Hospital: Ascension Via Christi
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
- Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
- Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
- Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
- Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
