Penobscot Community Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to become part of our developing School Based Health Center Services. Join one of the most inventive and forward-looking Federally Qualified Health Centers in the country caring for local students in RSU 34/Old Town Schools! The Old Town School Based Health Clinic, based in the Old Town Elementary School, will offer vital primary and mental health services in the location that is most accessible to students of the region!
Highlights
- This is a new and expanding primary school-based health service offering – you will help shape the foundational elements of this service from the ground up.
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Must be flexible, and comfortable in a developing environment.
- Work will be primarily in-person on-site at the school.
- The position is planned for full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Generally, Monday – Friday, 7am to 3pm.
- Start date: At the start of the 2025 school year!
- Office space on the PCHC campus available when school is not in session.
The School-Based Health Center Provider will play a key and foundational role in a new and exciting service and help build the services that will promote timely access to care, continuity of care, and the enhancement of well-being in our area’s children.
This is a highly collaborative and team-based role. You will work closely with other primary care and mental health providers throughout PCHC and with peer school-based health center providers.
